soo turns out that i’ll be able to move into my apartment sooner than i thought, eliminating the issue with my sisters grad party :)

i cannot wait for summer. i cannot wait to be living away from home, but close enough to come back whenever i need to. i cannot wait to work with my professors, and get paid to do stuff i truly love - mapping and research. i cannot wait to turn twenty-one, and go to the bars on the weekdays / weekends. i cannot wait to wear a bathing suit everyday and tan outside in my backyard. i cannot wait to porch drink. i cannot wait to hang out with all my best friends and create new, fantastic memories.

summer is my element, and it’s almost here. it will be official once i move into my new apartment.

GAH. cannot wait. <3

So upset. My family decided my sisters grad party would be on the day I’ve been planning on moving into my new apartment since the day I signed the lease. This was supposed to be a day my mom helps me plan out my room, go food shopping with me, and help me get settled in. Instead, she’ll be running around like crazy trying to appease my sister and guests, while not helping me at all. I’m moving in Saturday so I have two days to truly get settled in and actually move, preparing for the week ahead, rather than “temporarily” have a sleeping place that ends up being a permanent unorganized room. In addition to poor timing, the party will also take place at our home, which means allllllll of my room stuff (which is A LOT) will have to be moved out of the living room. I’m so upset. This is the last time I will be moving for school, and no one cares. I just got completely pushed to the back burner. My mom said she would help me move on Sunday, but she has a
run in the morning (which I was supposed to do with her but I guess not anymore…) that will take up over half of her day. No time for me. I guess I don’t matter. Doesn’t matter I won’t be around at all over the summer. I understand my sister is graduating and wants to have a party, but there are other dates or even venues that could be used. She’s already taken my trip to London with my father, can’t I have the move in date I’ve planned on since December? :(

This is just the topping on an already awful week. I was looking forward to moving in so much, and now I don’t. At all.
